Happy New Year!!! This truly can be a NEW year. Newness of life is available to us all through our Lord and Savior….Jesus. Why not resolve to pursue Jesus and His teachings with passion this year? Why not take new action and expect new results.
I had lunch with one of our partners on New Years Eve day. He resolved to commit to spend an hour a day studying the Words of Jesus, praising God and praying. I guarantee anyone who will commit to this action and do it, newness of life.
Jesus taught us that His Words are Spirit and Life. In them are revealed the power and glory of God. Jesus’ Words reveal the power of God. Jesus’ words reveal our inheritance. In the Words of Jesus, you will find infinitely more substanance than life in the flesh is capable of posessing.
Jesus and His Words are the Way, the Truth and the Life. If you are looking for wisdom, direction, purpose and clarity in the new year. Seek them in His Words and you shall find them.
Jesus came so that we would have life and have it more abundnatly. Seek Jesus and you will have that life.
“if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: ikd tgubgs are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Grace is God’s willingness, ability and power to do those things for us that we can not do for ourselves.
Grace is the substance by which we have been saved, and it is God’s medium of exchange.
“For by GRACE are you saved through faith, and that is not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Not of works. Lest any man should Boast.”
(Ephesians 2:8&9)
Grace is what Jesus came from heaven to give us, and He gave it in full measure.
“And of His fullness have we all received, and GRACE for GRACE”
(John 1:16)
Know Jesus, Know Grace.

” John (the Baptist) bore witness of Him (Jesus) and cried, saying, This was He of whom I spake (prophecied) He that comes after me is preferred before me: for He was before me. And of His fullness have we all received and grace… (God’s willingness, ablility and power to do those things for us that we can not or will not do for ourselves.) …for grace. For the Law came by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”
(John 1:15-17)
Think about Jesus and His gospel. Grace is the only possible explanation for God’s gift to us of His only begotten.
Think on this scripture. Take it deep into your spirit:
“But God commended (proved) His love for us, in that while we were yet sinners , Christ died for us.”
(Romans 5:8)
Try to comprehend this infinite grace:
“What shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who shall be against us? He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Hiim also freely
give us all things?”
(Romans 8:31&32)
Know Jesus, Know Grace…

Here in the United States, natural disasters are troubling us. On the West Coast wildfires are burning homes and land. In the southeast, there is a severe drought.
It doesn’t take long when these things happen for someone to start blaming God. I got a wacked out email in the mail just days ago. The author wrote that God hates abortion and is punishing everyone in the South for abortions in America. As I wrote, it doesn’t take long. They did it right after a Hurricane wiped out the city of New Orleans. The news media frequently refer to such events as “acts of God”. I find their labeling interesting since most of the elite media folk reject “intelligent design”.
In case you are being tempted to blame God for natural disasters, here are a couple of scriptures that should help:
“The theif comes to steal; and to kill, and to destroy: I have come that they might have life , and that they might have it more abundantly.”…..Jesus (John 10:10)
“Let no man say when he is tempted/tested that he is tempted/tested of God; for God is not tempted/tested by evil, neither does he tempt/test any man.”
” Do not err, my brothers. Every good and perfect gift comes down from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no changing neither shadow of turning.”
(James 1:15&17&18)
It is true that God hates abortion. God hates all sin and iniquity. We should not commit these sins. However, God does not punish us indiscriminately.

Because we have been issued temporary earth suits which are laden with temptaions, distractions, confusion and sin; we often stagger around in this world without direction. But, we do have an inner compass always available to those of us who choose to listen.
“I am the light of the world: He that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
Note the “He that follows me” qualifier. Need direction? Follow the leader.

It is true! It’s the way God planned it. If belief is in you it will come out of you. If the truth’s of Jesus are in you, they will come out of you. If love is in you, it will come out. If compassion is in you it will come out. If You believe the gospel of Jesus, Joy and Peace will come out of you. For, it is written that the God of all hope will fill you with joy and peace in believing.
They used to say in the computer business…”garbage in, garbage out.” What we deposit into our souls, will flow to our hearts. If we fill our hearts and souls with the teachings of Jesus they will come out of us. You can identify a believers of Jesus by the words that they speak.
Here Jesus explains it clearly,” For out of the fullness(the overflow, superabundance) of the heart, the mouth speaks. The good man from the inner good treasure flings forth good things, and the evil man out of his evil inner storehouse flings forth evil things.”
(Amplified Version Matthew 12:34&35)
What is in your heart? Listen to the words you speak. They will tell you.

This past weekend, I had the privelege of being a part of a wedding of an Australian and an American. The Australian/American Bride’s Grandmother and I got to spend a good bit of time together. She confirmed to me by her charm, poise and behavior what “salt of the earth” people Australians are. The other members of the family and extended family were the same. They are just great folk.
Our data tells us that we have quite a following among Australians. We have had visits from every major city in Australia. We feel quite honored to have been chosen by God to minister to and with the wonderful people of Australia. We thank you for your kindness in word and deed.
If you are Australian/ or an Australian wan-a-be, please drop us a line.
Grace and Peace to you from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Some very dear friends who helped me find my way in life, taught me a trick that I still have not forgotten. When they are in the middle of a pity party they take out a legal pad and make a gratitude list. The list is comprised of things for which they are grateful. When they are finished writing their list, they are usually ironically, finished also with their pity party. When they finish the list they put it in what they call the “God Box.” It can be a shoe box or any similar substitute.
When they are afraid or worried or anxious they write down their fears and worries and give them to God, via their God Box. They refuse to worry about things they can not change and they ask God to give them the courage to change the things they can. They also ask God to give them the wisdom to know the difference.
Try it and write me to let me know how the God Box works for you.

What can we learn from O.J. Simpson? Resentment, bitterness, unforgiveness, uncontrolled anger, hatred; are all of the evil one. They are poisonous! Untreated, unabated, allowed to fester, these emotions produce violence, death and illness. They are portals to evil and the evil one. They are the complete and total opposite of Godliness.
We can choose to live a life of peace. Peace is the fruit of faith. We can choose to refuse to engage in the self-destroying bog of score-keeping. We can choose to forgive. Here is a lesson from Jesus about how to avoid O.J. like outbursts:
“But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who spitefully use you and persecute you, That you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise upon the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brothers only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so?
We have a brother in California who wrote of our last teaching on peace, “easier said than done!” Truer words were never spoken.
Jesus is not telling us to make ourselves patsies and to continually make ourselves the targets of abuse. This teaching is about how to handle abuse when it does happen. If the world behaved as Jesus directs, would there be less O.J. like outbursts?

Paul the teacher to the gentiles taught us a recipe for peace. I double dog dare you to try making a concious effort to do this for thirty days. If you do, you will learn how to find peace in chaos and all kinds of circumstances:
“Finally brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virute and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things.”
(Phillippians 4:8)
Try it, you’ll like it!
